The Clayton Piano Festival has set the date for the third annual Holiday Gala for December 13th at The Barn at Broadslab near Benson, NC. This year’s concert will feature performers Josh and Lindsey Wright’s classical take on traditional holiday favorites.
“The couple will delight audiences with Holiday favorites from both the classical and popular repertoire, including their own arrangements of Christmas carols, music from popular American movies and TV in addition to timeless masterworks from the classical repertoire,” stated creative director, Jonathan Levin.
Billboard #1 artist, Josh Wright is one of the most versatile classical artists of his generation as a pianist, recording artist, arranger, and teacher, founding Josh Wright Piano TV on YouTube with nearly 60 thousand subscribers worldwide who benefit from his insightful teaching videos and musical performances. Josh joins his wife, Dr. Lindsey Wright, also an award-winning pianist and teacher, who helped to create their Christmas album, “Sleigh Ride for Two.”
A variety of ticket prices are available starting at $15.00 for Adults, $10 for Seniors, and $5 for Children. The Barn at Broadslab is located at 4682 NC Hwy 50 S., Benson, and the concert starts at 7:30pm, with light holiday refreshments following the concert. Join us as The Johnston County Chorus presents “A Christmas Spectacular” along with special guests Artistry in Motion Dance Studio. This annual Christmas favorite is filled with pop and secular Christmas music the whole family will enjoy! The show will also include a joyous filled sacred half as we celebrate the Reason for the Season. Saturday, December 15 (2 shows) 3:00pm and 7:00pm. Families are encourage to wear their pajamas and be ready to join in on the caroling and sing-along while on board.

Local Artist, Linda Stevens, has volunteered to teach painting at the Benson Center for Active Aging beginning in Jan 2019. Linda is an Oil Painter and artist from the Benson area and is excited about teaching others to paint and enjoy the art they see each and every day.
